Zeitfracht Logistik Holding increases earnings and EBITDA in the first half of 2024 / Strategy adjustment and focus on core business show clear effect

Kleinmachnow (Berlin), October 1, 2024: At Zeitfracht Logistik Holding GmbH ("Zeitfracht Logistik" or "Company"), a leading medium-sized provider of services in the areas of system, media, electronics and textile logistics, the strategy adjustment at the end of the year with a focus on the core business area is having a clear effect: Despite challenging economic conditions, the Company significantly increased its net profit and EBITDA. This is evident from a publication of the financial data for the first half of 2024.

The most important component of the focus on logistics services was the sale of the Adler Modemärkte Group and the associated deconsolidation. Zeitfracht Logistik is also currently benefiting from the excellent order situation for logistics services - Zeitfracht companies are recording a significant increase in demand in this area compared to the first half of 2023.

Specifically, Zeitfracht Logistik Holding achieved a turnover of just over 278 million euros from January 1 to June 30, 2024. In the same period of the previous year, this figure was just under 440 million euros with the Adler Group's participation. On the earnings side, the company achieved a consolidated net profit of 1.8 million euros in the first half of the previous year, while a net loss of almost 9.4 million euros was recorded in the first half of 2023 due to the capital-intensive retail business. On the personnel side, the number of employees fell from almost 4,500 to around 2,300, mainly due to the sale of the Adler Modemärkte Group.

"The focus on logistics was decisive for the development of Zeitfracht Logistik Holding, especially in the context of the deconsolidation of the Adler Modemärkte Group. In our core business area of logistics, we are currently benefiting from the significantly higher demand and are translating this directly into visible economic success through continuous efficiency improvements," says Wolfram Simon-Schröter, Managing Director of Zeitfracht Logistik Holding. "For the current financial year and beyond, we will continue to work on the consistent implementation of our strategic goals, in particular the further digitalization of the business segment."
